For people considering the Minelab Excalibur II, here is my experience.First the down side, Yes the knobs strip out easily. This is because the click you are accustomed to hearing when turning knobs on and off is barely audible, so we tend to keep turning. There is a cheap easy fix by turning machine upside down so glue does not run into switch. Just use glue to hold knob firm. This worked fine on my knobs. Second, yes the Excalibur is heavy.
